On June 14th, 2024, the third SEABAT academic workshop took place at Frauenhofer in Darmstadt, Germany.
The SEABAT consortium unveiled insights, data, and expertise concerning the integration of hybrid energy storage systems for maritime use. The presentation delved into the electrical, thermal, and mechanical facets of the system, offering in-depth examinations of testing outcomes.
Various guest speakers took the floor. It was an informative and inspiring day. The workshop covered the following topics:
- Session 1 focused on component development and innovations.
- Session 2 delved into overall system integration at the hardware level.
- Session 3 explored overall system integration at the software level.
Between sessions, attendees also had the opportunity to explore the Frauenhofer building with a guided tour.
The workshop was specifically for Master’s and PhD students, as well as researchers from industrial organizations. It was a successful turnout; about 30 people participated.
